Self-publishing seems to be popular amongst we writers on Tumblr. Because I’ve self-published a few myself (which you can buy here), and also because, well, I’m me, a lot of people have asked me for tricks or tips or general information, and I’m always happy to share all that I know. And share it again. And then share it again. And then share it again. Yeah, no. I’m just gonna share it with everybody all at once, okay? And then next time somebody asks me I can just say “oh, hey, I wrote a post on that” and give them a link. That sounds like an efficient thing to do.
Here’s your disclaimer: I’m not an expert. Everything I know I learned the old-fashioned way, where by “old-fashioned way” I mean: refuse to read directions or FAQs, dive right in feet first, find out when you’re halfway through that whatever you’re trying to do would’ve taken 15 minutes instead of 15 hours if you’d only done it this way, doing the same thing over and over again thinking it will work, and lots of cursing. Don’t do it the old-fashioned way. Oh, and also, this only applies to Lulu because I’ve only ever used Lulu. Lulu may change their shit up in some way so that some of these things don’t work. I can’t control that and if it happens you’re on your own.
